In 2023, Agramkow generated a turnover of around 45 million euros with around 180 employees. The company, based in Sønderborg, Denmark, is a global leader in refrigerant charging systems for refrigerators, air conditioning systems and heat pumps.
Concentration on the core business
Agramkow was a marginal activity within the Dürr Group and had only limited synergies with other parts of the mechanical and plant engineering company. The sale is part of Dürr's strategy of focusing on its core business with sustainable automation technologies and reducing the Group's complexity. This also includes merging the painting and final assembly business in the new Automotive division and examining strategic options for the environmental technology business, which the Board of Management announced at the beginning of June.
Reducing complexity
Dr. Jochen Weyrauch, CEO of Dürr AG: "The sale of Agramkow is an important step in our focusing strategy and reduces the complexity of our company. At the same time, it opens up better growth opportunities for Agramkow under the umbrella of a new owner."
Purchase price of 47 million euros
The purchase price is based on the enterprise value of EUR 47 million and was largely received by the Dürr Group on July 1. The payment therefore has no impact on Dürr AG's half-year figures, which will be published on August 8. A smaller part of the purchase price is due in 2026.
