Dürr AG places a promissory note loan for EUR 350 million. The lenders are thus supporting the development of sustainable products and the implementation of climate-friendly projects.

Dürr placed its first green bonded loan with interested investors back in April 2023. The issue volume in the previous year amounted to € 300 million. With the placement of a second green promissory bill in the amount of € 350 million, the Dürr Group is continuing on its course of sustainable corporate financing. As with the first green promissory bill, the SDax Group has also committed itself to the consistent "green" use of funds with this loan.

Investments in customer projects and Dürr locations

The use of funds is intended, among other things, for operating expenses in taxonomy-compliant customer projects. In addition, the Dürr Group is also investing in the sustainability of its sites, for example by installing photovoltaics for its own green power supply and constructing energy-efficient buildings.

Transaction already completed

The green promissory note loan consists of tranches with terms of three, five and seven years with fixed and variable interest rates. The current average interest rate is 5.04%. The transaction was signed on April 11. The Dürr Group received the proceeds on April 23. The transaction was arranged and structured by UniCredit, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg. Dürr AG received legal advice from the law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Sustainable finance frameworks as a basis

Dürr published the Sustainable Finance Framework in November 2022. This framework defines the purposes for which sustainable financing instruments such as the green promissory note loan are used and obliges the Dürr Group to report regularly. This transparency meets investors' need for information and makes it easier to raise "green" funds on the capital market.
