Experts from the caravaning and bodywork & paint industry accepted Spies Hecker's invitation to the Caravan Talk. This took place in March as part of the Spies Hecker Caravan Seminar at the Axalta Refinish Academy in Cologne.

In the seminar "Caravan repair - professional knowledge for additional business", thirteen participants spent two days bringing their knowledge of caravan repair up to date. Under the guidance of trainers David Kukies and Harald Weckmann, they addressed the topics of modern digital color matching for caravans, professional substrate preparation, use of different paint drying processes, effective use of materials, and handling the bodywork recommendation in theory and practice.

Rainer Seidl, Lack- und Waschcenter Seidl, explained how to use his self-developed and patent-pending SRS tool, which is used to repair structural systems and enables the processing of standard and microstructures for sandwich walls. The Caravan Seminar was followed by the Caravan Talk, moderated by Michael Schäfer, Strategic Sales & Key Account Manager Commercial, Axalta Coating Systems Germany. The experts agreed that there is still a lot of potential for improvement, both in terms of structural and technical conditions in the plants and with regard to expertise, training and further education, and the recruitment of suitable employees.
