Adapta develops bonding process for new pigment types

Adapta Color is developing processes to make better use of new pigment types for metallic effects in powder coating manufacturing. The process ensures consistent consistency in visual appearance.

New types of pigment are increasingly being used in powder coatings, which enable a wide range of metallic effects to be achieved. The process of bonderizing causes the pigments used to achieve metallic effects to bond with the powder particles of the coating. The latest generation bonder techniques allow the percentage of metallic or pearlescent pigments to be increased more and more.

As a company focused on the specialty coatings and functional coatings market, Adapta Color has developed its own bonding process, Adapta Bonding System, which makes it possible to achieve almost 100 percent bonding of the effect pigments to the powder coating. The new process has succeeded in combining three key aspects of this type of coating in a single solution approach, namely uniform color tone, trouble-free application of the product and reliability of the result achieved.
