The ZVO took part in the "So that you know" initiative for the third time in 2024. The teaching materials developed together with the 'More time for children' association on the surface coater apprenticeship (m/f/d) were sent to around 8,000 secondary schools.
Bringing pupils closer to job profiles
The nationwide initiative "So that you know" was launched to raise young people's awareness of their own career choices at an early stage and to introduce them to previously unknown professions. In addition to teaching materials, an online platform also offers all career profiles digitally. The free teaching materials, including career profiles, worksheets and information, were created in collaboration with teachers.
Online platform with career profiles
The materials for pupils in years 8 to 10 are available in digital and analog form. In mid-October 2024, the materials were sent to secondary schools in North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, Saxony, Lower Saxony and Thuringia. At the same time, the online platform Damit-du-bescheid-weisst.de was relaunched so that the profiles can now be used online with further information and materials on career guidance for pupils and teachers.
