In cooperation with the fem Forschungsinstitut, the VOA is once again organizing a practical laboratory workshop for anodizers in Schwäbisch-Gmünd after the successful premiere in 2024. The event is aimed at employees who have been working in this field for several years and would like to deepen their knowledge of laboratory and measurement technology for the anodizing process. The focus is on the pre-treatment and anodization process as well as the dyeing and compaction process. Participants complete practical exercises and can bring in their own problems, error patterns or samples.
Compact coating and QUALICOAT seminar
In November, the VOA opens a three-day training program with a coating and QUALICOAT seminar for beginners and advanced users. The venue is the Hotel Jagdschloss Kranichstein near Darmstadt. The seminar is recognized by the general licensor QUALICOAT and is a mandatory training course for license and approval holders of the quality mark. It provides knowledge about the coating of aluminum, the improvement of surface quality and compliance with international standards. Ralf Heitzelmann, deputy head of the VOA Technical Commission, will provide practical information.
Expert knowledge from the field
The following two-day anodizing seminar will highlight the process steps involved in the anodic oxidation of aluminium: contacting, cleaning and degreasing, pickling, rinsing and decapping, anodizing, pre-anodizing and hard anodizing, electrolytic dyeing, dip dyeing and compacting. The event will also provide an insight into the specifications of the international QUALANOD quality mark. The seminar will be led by Friedhelm U. Scholten, Chairman of the VOA Board.
