According to preliminary figures, VAT Vakuumventile AG, Haag/Switzerland, increased its order intake, sales and EBITDA in the 2024 financial year compared to the previous year. However, the individual business areas performed differently.

Preliminary order intake for the full year 2024 amounted to around 1.034 billion Swiss francs, according to the company. This corresponds to an increase of 49% compared to the previous year. Net sales rose by 7% to around 942 million Swiss francs. According to the preliminary figures, the EBITDA margin for the year as a whole was just over 31%. Margin advantages from the volume increases were partially offset by unfavorable exchange rate developments. The EBITDA margin in the second half of 2024 was slightly above 32% and thus back within the company's target range of between 32% and 37%.

In the Valves segment, the Semiconductors division recorded the higher results expected for 2024. This was due to the improved investment environment in the semiconductor industry over the course of the year, driven by progress in the technology roadmap. The Advanced Industrials division showed a mixed performance, with growth in the Energy Transition segment more than offset by subdued business development in solar and medical applications. In the Global Service segment, the business environment improved over the course of the year.

The company intends to provide a detailed update on the outlook for the current year together with the publication of the final results for 2024 on March 4, 2025.
