With their revised design and high pumping speed and throughput, the three models in the Diffvac DP series—DP 12K, 20K, and 50K—are designed for energy efficiency, robustness, and uninterrupted operating times. The pumping speed for air is 8,900, 16,000, and 41,000 l/s, respectively. All three models have a working range of 10-3 to 10-7 mbar . The rated power is 7.2, 12, and 24 kW, respectively. The heating time for the smallest model, the VP 12 K, is 25 minutes, and 30 minutes for the other two models. A new type of heating system minimizes power consumption and enables rapid operational readiness. In addition, maintenance cycles are longer and maintenance is easy. Users can replace the heating cartridges themselves, partly because they are individually fused.
Energy savings of up to 30% are achieved with an energy efficiency controller and a further 20% through improved insulation of the vacuum pump, according to the manufacturer. The energy efficiency controller can be retrofitted by the customer and wired into the terminal box without any modifications to the vacuum pump.
The new OB series comprises the OB 400 and OB 630 models. They have a rated power of 8 and 24 kW respectively and offer a pumping speed for air of 6,000 and 12,000 l/s respectively. The working range is10-2 to 10-4 mbar, and the warm-up time is approximately 50 minutes. According to Leybold, these vacuum pumps are primarily designed for industrial applications. Emptying the sludge tank also allows the removal of collected dust. The vacuum pump and terminal box of the OB series are also prepared for the installation of an energy efficiency controller.
