The CH-160D3LT delivers up to 90/100 W at 20 K (50/60 Hz), while the CH-160D3 delivers 600/725 W at 77 K (50/60 Hz). The CH-160D3 series combines design elements from the company's CH and RDK product lines. It features "whisper technology" for quieter operation and the Displex pneumatic drive, which reduces wear and tear by reducing the number of moving parts. An improved gas-balanced valve design reduces torque and mechanical stress. Other improvements include a new spindle drive and a new heat exchanger design.
The 160D3 series is designed for use in the following areas: Liquid hydrogen and nitrogen generation and liquefaction, clean energy technology, high temperature superconductor applications including cables, fault current limiters, marine engines, wind turbines and accelerator magnets.
The cryocoolers operate with two F-70 compressors. The F-70 is a three-phase, water-cooled, indoor unit available in both high and low voltage versions. All Freedom series compressors use scroll compressor capsules, allow a service interval of 30,000 hours and are designed exclusively to deliver oil-free helium at high pressure to cryocoolers.
