"We are increasingly using R290 as a natural refrigerant in our systems," says Nicolai Küls, Managing Director of technotrans solutions GmbH. The Global Warming Potential - the so-called GWP value - of R290 is three and is thus significantly lower than that of numerous other common refrigerants. At the trade fair, the company will be presenting, among other things, a new line of chillers with cooling capacities from 100 to 1,500 kW. The systems feature a high-efficiency compressor and shell-and-tube evaporators with one or two redundant refrigeration circuits.
A central element of the new compact temperature control units is a pump efficiency module (PEM) integrated into the housing. Other features of the highly standardized units include temperatures from 95 to 180 °C, heating capacities from 9 to 36 kW and flow rates from 60 l/min to 230 l/min. All unit variants require only a small footprint and are equipped with a pivoting control cabinet front. Optionally, the systems are available with an OPC UA interface.
