Martin Lindqvist succeeds Jens Alder as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Steel Group. Jens Alder will hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Steel Group.

With effect from October 30, 2024, the Annual General Meeting of the Swiss Steel Group elected Martin Lindqvist (62) to the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Lindqvist brings extensive industry experience as former President and CEO of the Swedish steel company SSAB. He most recently led SSAB on its transition to fossil-free steel production.

Martin Lindqvist has a degree in economics from Uppsala University in Sweden. During his many years at SSAB, Lindqvist has held various management positions. Prior to that, he held management positions at NCC and Outokumpu Copper Strip. Lindqvist is currently a member of the Board of Directors of SCA, Europe's largest private forestry company.
