For the second time in a row, Adler Lacke received an award at the Vienna Window and Sun Protection Congress WFSK: The company won in the sustainability category.

"When it comes to sustainability, it is not enough to just look at the coating itself and its ingredients. Sustainability requires a comprehensive perspective," says Dr. Albert Rössler, R&D General Manager at Adler. Adler has developed its own sustainability seal "Adler green". During the certification process in the in-house laboratory, the environmental properties of the products are tested as well as their safety and harmlessness in processing.

Another component of the sustainability strategy is a sustainable circular economy. "Many of our window and front door coatings carry the Cradle to Cradle certificate," says Richard Mölk, Adler division manager for the window industry. Decisive factors for this certification include a high proportion of natural and renewable raw materials and the recyclability of the coated wood. "The sustainability award means a lot to us, as it confirms our pioneering role in ecological window coating," Richard Mölk continues.
