The new Omikron filter element from Herding is a washable and sterilizable unibody filter made of polyethylene for pure surface filtration. It is food compliant according to FDA and European Directive and free of PFAS. Geometry and connection of the sintered rigid-body filters are freely adaptable. Thanks to their parametric design, they can be precisely tailored to any application and thus also integrated into existing plant concepts.
Herding uses the design freedom of additive processes to free Herding sintered lamella filter technology from its geometric restrictions by means of new molding systems. This has multiple advantages: The Herding Omikron filter element now allows pure surface filtration at low volume flows. Herding can optimize the filter shapes and surfaces individually to suit the respective customer process, fit filters precisely into existing installation spaces, and manufacture connections to match the existing system technology.
