SKF and Castrol companies are working together to recycle used lubricating oils. Reusing lubricating fluids makes it possible to reduce waste, save energy and improve machine performance.

The combination of SKF's RecondOil offering with Castrol's metalworking lubricants facilitatesthe circular use of industrial lubricants. Circular use of the lubricating fluid reduces consumption and improves machine performance. The combined service will initially focus on the metalworking industry.

SKF's RecondOil Double Separation Technology (DST) can be used in processes to produce clean oil. It reconditions spent fluids and returns them to the metalworking process, reducing oil consumption and handling while improving machine performance. "We recognize the importance of the circular economy in industrial processes and our partnership with Castrol is another step in making this a reality. By combining SKF RecondOil and Castrol lubricant technology we can offer 'Oil as a Service' solutions that help reduce waste, save energy and improve manufacturing processes," said Thomas Fröst, President, Independent and Emerging Businesses.
