Schmalz has developed the CVU pneumatic vacuum generator with a pumping speed of up to 8.6 m³/h for CNC machining centers. The device supplies clamping systems and suction blocks in metal and plastics processing with vacuum, according to the manufacturer. Operators can use it with cooling lubricants, for minimum quantity lubrication and for dry machining.
An optional energy-saving function is also available. This switches the device off as soon as the set vacuum value is reached and switches it on again after a vacuum drop of approx. 80 mbar.
The CVU is completely enclosed. As a result, less noise penetrates to the outside, while the cover catches the liquids sucked in.
