Reverion receives Vacuum Award

The "Innovation in Vacuum Busch Award 2025" goes to the German company Reverion for its container power plants, with which it is helping to combat climate change. Reverion was founded in 2022 as a spin-off company of the Technical University of Munich, where the founders had successfully developed their high-temperature fuel cell system up to the prototype phase.

The technology achieves up to 80% efficiency in the generation of electricity from biogas, as the Busch Group announced on the occasion of the award ceremony. This corresponds to twice the electrical efficiency of conventional combined heat and power plants.

With Reverion's fuel cell power plants, theCO2 content of the gases can be removed and reused in sectors such as tree nurseries or the beverage industry. This also helps to reduce theCO2 content in the atmosphere.

Vacuum technology plays a crucial role in the separation of CO₂. Reverion integrates screw vacuum pumps and vacuum boosters from Busch into its containerized biogas power plants. This combination of vacuum pumps offers energy efficiency and reliability.

Busch presents the "Innovation in Vacuum Busch Award" every year. This award honors individuals or companies that make use of vacuum technology with innovative ideas to benefit people and the environment. The award was first presented in 2013 to mark the 50th anniversary of Busch Vacuum Solutions.
