Since April 2023, Rehau Window Solutionshas been using exclusively water-based paints for window profiles. On the one hand, this addresses the increasing demand from the market and, on the other hand, creates a long-term secure basis for Rehau partners with regard to stricter requirements of the European Union in the future. At the same time, the changeover is also a contribution to climate protection. For example, the new coatings are produced in a CO2-neutral manner, are recyclable and are "Cradle to Cradle" certified.
The new Kaleido Paint system focuses primarily on matt tones. The Rehau product portfolio includes more than 150 RAL, DB and NCS color shades, both in smooth finishes and as textured paints. The paints are low-VOC, food-safe and therefore suitable for kindergartens or schools. Special anti-heat additives in the paint reduce surface heating in dark color shades. They also have high chemical resistance and are resistant to oils, acids, alcohols, cleaning agents and beverages.
