"Many of the refrigeration dryers on the market do not have an energy-saving function," says Dennis Lange, Head of Compressed Air Technology at Oltrogge. For most of the year, they operate oversized. Modern refrigeration dryers, on the other hand, adapt their output to the actual demand. When demand is reduced, the devices reduce their output by up to 30 percent or switch off. The savings potential is considerable: internal calculations show that the investment in a new refrigeration dryer often pays for itself within just a few years.

Reliability even during heat waves

In addition to the energy aspect, general operational reliability also plays a role. If condensate gets into the compressed air line when the dryer fails, this can cause damage to tools or machines. With a proactive replacement, companies not only save money, but also avoid costly breakdowns.
