The VDI Plastics Technology Strategy Circle is a technical committee of the Plastics Technology Department of the VDI Society Materials Engineering. The aim of the strategy circle is to analyze and develop relevant trends in the field of plastics technology. The newly recruited member began his professional career at Krauss Maffei in Munich in the Extrusion Division. At the end of 2008, he moved to Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik and held various positions there. Since mid-2015, Dr. Henning Stieglitz has been Chief Technical Officer of the Group and one of the two managing directors of battenfeld-cincinnati Holding.
Dr. Henning Stieglitz's appointment to the VDI Strategy Group for Plastics Technology was sealed with a symbolic "knighthood" in Dresden on September 22, 2023. The honor was bestowed by the chairman of the VDI Strategy Circle for Plastics Technology, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Hopmann. Members of the strategy circle are leading personalities from the plastics industry and the sciences. The VDI Strategy Circle for Plastics Technology was founded in Bamberg in 1972.
