The PSE Conferences are among the most established international conferences for plasma, coating, and ion beam technology. PSE 2026 will once again bring together science and industry to discuss the latest research results, technical developments, and industrial applications of plasma surface technology. The conference is organized by the European Joint Committee on Plasma and Ion Surface Engineering (EJC/PISE) and the European Research Society for Thin Films (EFDS) and supported by international professional associations.
Wide range of topics from research to application
The conference program covers basic research as well as industrial series applications. Thematic focal points include plasma and ion sources, process technologies such as PVD, PECVD, ALD, and diffusion, functional layers, characterization, simulation, and AI-supported modeling. The contributions will be presented in several parallel sessions.
Workshops, special sessions, and industry relevance
The program is complemented by workshops and special sessions on current research trends and industrial issues. These include an industrial workshop on surface technology for clean energy solutions and a panel discussion on the role of cleaning in coating processes. A Partner Country Session will introduce the plasma community from Spain and Portugal.
Invitation to help shape the program
The organizers invite experts from science and industry to submit abstracts for presentations and posters and to actively help shape the program. The conference offers a wide range of opportunities for professional exchange, international networking, and visibility within the community.
