The ESG rating of Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) measures the sustainability performance of companies. The rating incorporates around 100 industry-specific indicators from the areas of environment, social affairs and corporate governance. Companies achieve Prime status if they meet or exceed the requirements defined for their industry. The highest rating in the machinery and plant engineering sector is currently "B-".
Promotion to Prime status is also important in terms of financing costs. If Dürr AG retains its prime status beyond 2025, it will secure permanently more favorable conditions for the green promissory note loan issued in April 2023. This follows the requirements of Dürr AG's Sustainable Finance Framework, under which the Group voluntarily undertakes to comply with demanding conditions for sustainable financing instruments and a green use of funds.
