The Hako measuring stations from Enovasense, which Polytec now carries in its program, already come with the appropriate calibration ex works. The user can measure immediately and does not have to reference an uncoated part even when changing products. This saves working time both in industrial applications and in the laboratory.
The photothermal measuring systems work without any contact to the object. Using lasers and infrared sensors, the coating of arbitrarily shaped objects with radii of curvature >= 1 mm is measured from working distances of 20 to 40 mm with a repeatability of typically +/-1 µm or +/- 3% of the measured value. The measuring method is offered either as a by-the-line or laboratory inspection station in two sizes (Hako-L and Hako-S), but it can also be integrated directly into the production line if required.
