The PPG LINQ Pro system is capable of creating a virtual color swatch. It is based on the PPG VISUALIZID visualization software in combination with the PPG DIGIMATCH digital colorimeter. PPG VisualizID can visually represent around 70,000 color tones, variants and even all specials, and offers an ultra-accurate, authentic representation of the color tone on the PC monitor. This is done using 3D rendering technology, which reproduces the realistic hue on the screen. This allows the user to retrieve an authentic image of each hue variant and compare it to the target hue.
PPG DIGIMATCH delivers the images via a high-resolution HD camera. Thanks to the high resolution, haze, dust inclusions and similar imperfections can be detected at the measuring points that are not visible to the naked eye. Faulty measurements due to imperfections are eliminated, and the process reliability of this repair step is noticeably increased.
