The staff took the 90th birthday of the company founder and shareholder of the measurement technology company Polytec as an opportunity to thank Liselotte Lossau for her many years of commitment.

The history of Polytec began in the 1960s in Grünwettersbach. There, the physicist Heinz G. Lossau decided to use his numerous contacts to research institutes and to large companies in the chemical industry, as well as his experience with American manufacturers of novel spectrometry research equipment, to found his own company as an independent commercial agency. He was supported in this by his wife, Liselotte Lossau, a graduate in business administration. Since the financing of the foundation was a private pleasure, as Liselotte Lossau expresses it, the founding couple managed the complete financing out of their own pockets.

With her responsibility for the business management side of the company, Liselotte Lossau played her part in turning Polytec into an international high-tech company. Today, she still plays an important role in the company as a shareholder. After her retirement, she volunteered for hospice work in the region, and was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon for this in 2020. A family-like working atmosphere, characterized by respect and appreciation, was always very important to her. The entire Polytec team thanks her for this with a festive brochure on her work and activities.
