With an investment of EUR 25 million, the first expansion stage of the St. Georgen plant was realized. Two years later, in April 2023, the second hall was officially opened at the new windrower and baler plant in St. Georgen near Grieskirchen (AT). The additional building with an area of 7,900 square meters, including the new paint shop, represents an investment volume of approximately EUR 33 million. The total production area has thus been more than doubled. After a construction period of almost 1.5 years for this second expansion stage, the agricultural machinery manufacturer Pöttinger was able to put a modern cathodic dip painting (KTL) and powder coating plant into operation here.
The parts for windrowers and round balers are painted in the new surface coating plant. The painted parts were previously delivered from the main plant in Grieskirchen. In addition, third-party orders for high-quality coating are accepted here using modern methods. Thanks to the new conceptual design, orders can be executed in black KTL dip coating, high wall thickness and large part weight. The maximum hanging weight is 1,200 kg.
