A project of the zdi center Lippe MINT aims to inspire students for STEM professions. It consists of one part art and culture and one part STEM career and study orientation. The latter was carried out together with Plantag Coatings GmbH from Detmold, which was happy to support the project as part of its training marketing.
The young people dealt with street art and graffiti. In workshops, lecturers from Rapschool NRW taught techniques for creating designs, but also the risks involved in using varnishes and paints. For the practical work, the group of students was guests at Plantag's technical center. On the first day, the task was to sand and prime wooden boards, which could then be sprayed with their own motif. On the second day, the panels were finished with clear varnish. The young people were able to take their works home with them. Plantag also gave a tour of the site and presented various apprenticeships.
