The centerpiece of Pfeiffer Vacuum's expansion complex in Berliner Strasse in Asslar is the 8,000 square meter logistics center with fully automated warehouse. Moreover, more than 1,000 square meters of additional production space will be created, as well as a service environment in which all service areas will collaborate centrally. The logistics center is scheduled for completion in 2024. In parallel, part of the existing building will be modernized.
With the construction project, the company is relying on photovoltaic systems across the board. The electricity generated is to be fed entirely into the company's own grid. The heat generated by the production facilities will also be recovered. E-charging columns for employees' vehicles are also being planned. The aim is for the site to be climate-neutral by 2030.
