Elpeguard UTC 1507 FLZ protective coating meets the high fire protection requirements of Underwriters Laboratories (UL). The coating has been classified as "Permanent Coating UL94". UTC 1507 FLZ thus carries the rating "non-combustible" at level V0. "This is the best non-combustibility level for protective coatings," says Stefan Schröder, the product manager responsible for protective coatings at Peters. The V stands for "vertical" - meaning that the Elpeguard protective coating will not ignite even if the flame is directed vertically at the product. In this case, the heat effect is most intense.
Elpeguard UTC 1507 FLZ, which is now UL certified, offers a low-cost alternative to commonly used silicone protective coatings on the world market. The new resin used by Peters for Elpeguard UTC 1507 FLZ, a synthetic rubber, guarantees permanent elasticity as required for certain applications in an industrial context.
