Pero AG mourns the loss of Horst Erbel, who passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, after a short, serious illness, surrounded by his wife Aloisia Erbel. For more than six decades, he shaped the development of the family business and turned it into an internationally recognized specialist for high-quality series cleaning systems.
Erbel was involved in setting up the company's own production of metal cleaning systems from 1957 onwards, initially as a master craftsman and later as production manager in his father's business. He became a partner in 1963 and a general partner in 1969. He had been the active CEO of Pero AG since 1996.
Strategic continuity in the company
Under his leadership, the company continued to develop steadily. Technical expertise, strategic acumen, and a clear commitment to quality and long-term thinking characterized his entrepreneurial activities. The operational management of Pero AG remains in the hands of the board members Manuela Böhm and Gerd Erbel. Together with the entire team, the strategic direction will be continued in the spirit of the deceased.
