Like all Optisense systems, the handheld device can test coatings or powders before they have cured, e.g. when the coating is still wet or soft. By simply measuring directly after application, the very costly rework or even expensive overcoating can be completely avoided. In this way, the non-contact method immediately offers optimum quality control and significantly higher process reliability.
Handling of the handheld device is made particularly easy by various specific features. A light, small sensor makes use enormously flexible. In addition, a selection of light and small sensors is available for different applications. The measurement has been accelerated to a duration of less than one second. Thanks to its curved, ergonomic and lightweight shape, the Paintchecker adapts perfectly to any hand position.
