Oliver Blume new VW Chairman of the Board of Management

The supervisory board of Volkswagen AG has appointed Oliver Blume as the new chairman of the group's board of management. He will assume this position on September 1, 2022 in addition to his role as Chairman of the Board of Management of Porsche AG.

Blume joined the Volkswagen Group in 1994 and has since held leading positions at the Audi, Seat, Volkswagen and Porsche brands. He has been Chairman of the Executive Board at Porsche since 2015 and a member of the Group Executive Board since 2018. Blume is to continue driving forward the transformation together with the entire Board of Management. Group CFO Arno Antlitz will additionally assume the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) to support Blume in day-to-day operations.

"Oliver Blume has proven his operational and strategic skills and has been leading Porsche AG economically, technologically and culturally for seven years with great success. In the view of the Supervisory Board, he is the right person at the helm to further sharpen the customer focus and the positioning of the brands and products," said Hans Dieter Pötsch, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the VW Group.
