The Combi WVD vacuum booster pump unit is available in three versions with the designations Combi WVD 0220, Combi WVD0235, and Combi WVD0245. They all feature the Panda WV 0250 C vacuum booster, with a Duovane 36, Duovane 70 or Duovane 135 connected as the backing pump. The pumping speed at 1 mbar is 200, 225, and 234 m³/h at ISO 50 Hz, respectively. The final pressure of the smallest model is 1.5 × 10⁻³ mbar, the medium-sized model 1.6 × 10⁻³ mbar, and the largest model 1.7 × 10⁻³ mbar. The maximum power consumption for all models is 1.15 kW. According to the manufacturer, this makes it suitable for both stand-alone operation and as a backing pump for high vacuum pumps. The Combi WVD pump unit is the successor to the Combiline WD.
The manufacturer has designed the vacuum booster pump units for applications in vacuum coating and drying, as well as for metallurgy, research & development, and other industries. The series ensures reliable vacuum generation and is therefore also suitable for applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. This is made possible by the contact-free operation of the vacuum boosters in the process chamber. In addition, optional magnetic couplings for vacuum pumps and boosters can be used in certain configurations, eliminating the need for shaft seals.
