The regional group has elected Michael Maier from Weckerle Lackfabrik as its new deputy chairman. The Association of the German Paint and Printing Ink Industry is thus focusing on continuity and fresh impetus in challenging times.

The Baden-Württemberg district group of the Association of the German Paint and Printing Ink Industry (VdL) reorganized its board at this year's Entrepreneur Day in Stuttgart. Michael Maier was newly elected to the office of Deputy Chairman. Adelbert Edelmann (PPG Industries Bodelshausen) and Dr. Rainer Frei (FreiLacke - Emil Frei) were confirmed in their positions as Deputy Chairman and Chairman. The retiring Jürgen Lochner (Sika Deutschland GmbH) was honored for his many years of commitment to the board.

Industry dialog and joint positioning

The Entrepreneurs' Day, which took place at PPG Woerwag Coatings, offered participants the opportunity to network and discuss current economic challenges. In addition to economic topics, the importance of research and development for the innovative strength of the coatings and printing ink industry was also emphasized. Close cooperation with the German Chemical Industry Association (VCI) remains of central importance for the VdL district group in order to effectively represent the interests of the industry in Baden-Württemberg and beyond.
