Mahyar Emami successfully completed a Bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry and a Master's degree in Physical Chemistry in Tehran/Iran. He chose the Master's program at TU Ilmenau because of the excellent technical facilities and the uniqueness of the program. After completing his bachelor's degree in materials science at Ilmenau University of Technology, Andreas Winter decided to study for a master's degree in electrochemistry and electroplating in order to deepen the knowledge he had already acquired. The location of Ilmenau as a campus university and the associated family atmosphere were decisive factors for him.
Since 2018, the Zentralverband Oberflächentechnik e.V. (ZVO) has been awarding up to three scholarships per year for a Master's degree course with a focus on electrochemistry and electroplating. The application deadline is October 20 of the respective calendar year, with the ZVO Board of Directors making the selection.
