Mass finishing and fine cleaning at the Forplan and Ecoclean technology center

In future, customers will be able to have their precision parts machined and cleaned at a joint technology center operated by Swiss company Forplan AG and Ecoclean GmbH / UCM AG. An additional offer is process development and optimization.

 

At the end of March 2025, Forplan AG and Ecoclean opened the new technology center in Biel, Switzerland. The companies are thus expanding their capacities for process development and optimization as well as contract machining in the areas of mass finishing and fine cleaning of precision parts. The combined processing capacities for the complementary production steps enable customers and interested parties from the watchmaking industry, medical technology, precision mechanics and general precision parts production based in Switzerland to carry out corresponding tests in a concentrated and localized manner.

Adapting processes precisely to requirements

The technology center at Forplan's headquarters in Biel is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and plant technology. Machines and process technologies for mass finishing are available as well as a variety of processing media. This diversity makes it possible to design and optimize processes that are precisely tailored to the respective requirements.

Removing grinding and polishing pastes with ultrasound

For parts cleaning, the UCMWatchLine is an integrated multi-bath ultrasonic cleaning system tailored to the requirements of the watch industry and its suppliers. This cleaning system is equipped with all the processes and technologies used in this industry for efficient, reliable and environmentally friendly cleaning. This allows the technically and economically optimal cleaning solution to be designed for the specific task, for example the removal of grinding and polishing pastes.

Meets the requirements of medical technology

We also offer trials with systems for cleaning medical technology components. Thanks to their equipment and flexibility in process design, the systems meet the high requirements and strict cleanliness specifications of this industry. This includes, for example, the pulsed pressure cleaning (PPC) process. It ensures that contaminants are reliably removed even from very complex geometries, narrow lumens and fine structures.
