Clear signal for the relevance of the international platform
Stephanie Wagner, LIGNA Project Manager at Deutsche Messe AG, sees the early registration figures as a clear signal: Companies are using the trade fair as an international platform to demonstrate technological advances, innovative strength, and global market presence—especially against the backdrop of a continuing tense global economic situation.
Investment pressure is noticeably increasing
The VDMA Woodworking Machinery Association also views the development positively. Dr. Bernhard Dirr, Managing Director of the trade association, emphasizes the importance of the trade fair as a point of reference in a market environment characterized by uncertainty. Production relocations, postponed investments, and advances in recycling technologies and measurement technology, among other things, have increased investment pressure. As the industry's central marketplace, LIGNA 2027 will provide impetus and showcase innovations.
LIGNA has been organized every two years in Hanover by Deutsche Messe and the VDMA Woodworking Machinery Association since 1975.
