Kemper, manufacturer of extraction and filtration systems, is investing in a new building at its site. The research and development department is moving into the two-story building, which measures around 2,000 square meters. Training and conference rooms as well as a showroom are also planned.

"We see our future here in Vreden and are creating the conditions for our growth with the Innovation Center," says Björn Kemper, CEO of Kemper GmbH. The atrium, the heart of the building, has room for more than 200 people. The staircase is designed so that it can be used as a grandstand. A showroom is planned for the company's customers. In addition, there are training and education rooms that will be used both internally and externally. "We also wanted to give the research and development department a new home," says Kemper.

The new building, with a floor area of 1,000 square meters on the first floor, 800 square meters on the upper floor and a 220-square-meter roof terrace, was designed by Coesfeld architects Bock Neuhaus und Partner. The building will be constructed to the KfW 40 energy efficiency standard using state-of-the-art building and ventilation technology. In addition, Kemper intends to expand the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in the Gaxel industrial park so that not only company-owned vehicles can be charged. The construction phase is expected to last 18 months.
