Founded in 1947 with a provisional production permit from the British military, ElektroPhysik is today a leading manufacturer of coating thickness gauges. The sole shareholder Klaus E. Steingroever, son of the company founder, managed ElektroPhysik Dr. Steingroever GmbH & Co KG for more than 50 years. On the occasion of his 80th birthday, he decided to pass the company on to new shareholders and managing directors outside the Steingroever family.
The two new shareholders are Beatrix Badura-Yilmaz and Winfried Roggendorf. They are long-time employees of the company. Beatrix Badura-Yilmaz, a graduate translator, has been with the company since 1996 and knows ElektroPhysik from the ground up. Starting in the sales department and later exporting for many years, she finally took over the commercial management. Her business partner Dipl.-Ing. Winfried Roggendorf has also been working in leading positions in the field of material testing and coating thickness measurement for many years and has been managing director of ElektroPhysik since 2013.
