Handheld vacuum gauges with Bluetooth interface presented

Edwards Vacuum has introduced its P4 and P5 handheld pressure gauges. They measure absolute pressures from 2000 to 5×10-5 mbar and relative pressures from -1060 to 1200 mbar.

The Edwards P4 uses a piezoresistive sensor for high pressure measurements that detects changes in electrical resistance when pressurized. The P5 combines a piezoresistive sensor with a thermally conductive Pirani sensor for low pressure measurements. The latter measures the thermal conductivity of the gas and thus enables measurements of up to 5×10-5 mbar. An integrated data logger with USB-C interface and optional Bluetooth LE is used for data logging. Both devices weigh 250 g, measure 70 x 105 x 46.4 mm and are equipped with a 2.5" display. The operating time on a single battery charge is 1,000 h for the P4 and 48 h for the P5.
