The lecture program comprises four thematic blocks: "Efficient process design", "Innovative grinding tools", "Modern machine technology" and "Optimized cooling lubricant supply". It begins with a keynote speech by Dr. Werner Heuer (Schaeffler AG) on the production technology challenges for resource efficiency in drive technology. Presentations on the topic of "Innovative grinding tools" will follow. Current research results from young scientists will be presented in a poster session. This will be followed by two further presentations on the session "Cooling lubricant supply".
The second day will begin with the session "Modern machine technology" and will focus on an economical grinding process for hard-coated brake discs as well as opportunities for grinding applications in the semiconductor market. The "Efficient process design" session will focus on the latest findings on microfinishing and internal cylindrical machining as well as innovations in DIN EN ISO 21920 for specifying surface finishes.
