From the beginning of June to the end of October, employees were encouraged to leave their cars at home in the morning and cycle to work. A competition that originated directly at Denios to set an example for sustainability and environmental protection. More than 30 employees gave up their cars several times during the summer months and came to work by e-bike or bicycle. The kilometers were documented and counted at the end.
In total, almost 18,000 kilometers were cycled during the campaign - roughly the distance from the Denios headquarters in Bad Oeynhausen to New Zealand. The most hard-working riders have now been honored in a ceremony. The internal cycling championship is to be continued next year.
