On Tuesday evening, a fire broke out in a galvanizing plant in Denkendorf. After attempts by employees to extinguish the fire were unsuccessful and they had to flee to safety, a large contingent from several fire departments arrived.
According to the Donaukurier, the emergency services had the fire under control around midnight and were able to extinguish it completely by early morning. According to the police, the damage of the large fire, which burned down the factory building, is estimated so far at several million euros. Fortunately, no one was injured.
