It is possible to apply for the Stuttgart Surface Technology Award up to and including April 8, 2024. Both individuals and organizations that have helped shape the surface technology industry in a special way in electroplating, painting technology, thermal spraying or other industrial areas related to surface technology are invited to participate.
The prize is awarded every two years and will be presented for the ninth time in 2024. In addition to sustainability, the degree of innovation, the characteristics of the technology or application as an enabling technology, the industrial feasibility of the submitted solution is also assessed. The jury is made up of Martin Metzner, Head of the Electroplating Department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA, Martin Riester (VDMA Surface Technology) and Michael Hilt (Forschungsgesellschaft für Pigmente und Lacke e.V.). The award ceremony will take place on June 4, 2024 at Surface Technology Germany in Stuttgart.
