With the creditors' approval of the insolvency plan of the Weihbrecht family business, the proceedings have been successfully concluded. "The family business will be preserved. I am very happy about this and say thank you from the bottom of my heart to my employees and of course to Mr. Planer," says Franziska Weihbrecht, who is now continuing the family business in the second generation. Thomas Planer, managing partner of Planer & Kollegen, accompanied the process as a restructuring expert. Lawyer Dr. Thomas Karg was appointed as administrator.
Going into insolvency in self-administration was not easy for Weihbrecht. With Thomas Planer and the administrator Dr. Thomas Karg at her side, Weihbrecht involved employees, customers, business partners and suppliers in the process right from the start. "Absolute openness is an essential prerequisite for success," explains Thomas Planer. A major advantage of insolvency in self-administration: The previous management remains responsible and manages the company.
