European Welding Service GmbH is launching a new generation of tungsten electrodes. The electrode has the color code 'pearl copper' and a three percent rare earth content. It is designed to improve TIG welding.

EWS European Welding Service GmbH is expanding its TIGZONE range with a new tungsten electrode. It is called GEN3, has a pearl copper color code for the first time and contains three percent rare earths. It is easy to ignite and has a long service life - even in demanding industrial applications. GEN3 was developed along the needs of professional welders for both manual welding and automated processes.

"The future belongs to bead copper. With the new GEN3, we offer an optimal solution for all TIG welding needs," says EWS Managing Director Jan van der Hammen. The combination of performance and reliability makes the electrode a good choice, he adds. The new electrode is equally suitable for use with direct and alternating current. Non-alloyed or high-alloy steels, light metals as well as titanium, nickel, copper or magnesium alloys: The processing of various metals is also successful with GEN3.
