The portable, compressed air-powered CPA5000 chip extractor is supplied via the same hose as the pneumatic drilling or grinding machine at whose workplace it is used. The compressed air is fed from the line network via a valve on the vacuum cleaner to the tool. In this way, the unit can extract dust and chips directly from the tool. Alternatively, it can be used like a normal vacuum cleaner to remove dirt from the table or workplace.
The vacuum cleaner works on the cyclone principle and is equipped with a high-performance particulate filter (Hepa filter, "High Efficiency Particulate Air"). The Hepa filter has an efficiency of 99.97% related to particles larger than 0.3 micrometers (µm). Cyclone vacuums do not require bags. Instead, the solids contained in the aspirated particle-air mixture are safely separated in these types of vacuums via an eddy current and collected in a collection container. The industrial vacuum cleaner has a housing made of the sturdy polycarbonate Lexan, which makes it extremely robust and, with a weight of only 1.4 kg, very light.
