technotrans SE generated consolidated revenue of EUR 68.3 million in the first three months of the 2023 financial year. This corresponds to an increase of 20.6 percent. The operating result improved by 13.7 percent with an EBIT margin of 5.2 percent (previous year: 5.5 percent). At 102 million euros, orders remained at a high level. "Despite the persistently challenging underlying conditions, we have succeeded in maintaining the growth course we have embarked upon," says Michael Finger, Spokesman of the Board of Management of technotrans SE.
The main growth drivers were once again technotrans' focus markets. With an increase of around 96 percent, revenue in the Energy Management focus market almost doubled compared with the previous year. The start of series production of the battery cooling systems for rail vehicles projects acquired in previous years was responsible for the increase. Also worthy of note are the Plastics market, with a 24 percent increase in sales compared to the previous year, and the Print market, with an increase of 13 percent. In addition, demand for customer-specific and technically sophisticated solutions increased in the Laser & Machine Tools market - here, sales in the 1st quarter grew by around 25 percent compared to the previous year.
