From September 24 to 27, Hamburg will once again be the meeting place for the international wind industry when WindEnergy takes place there. At the four-day trade fair for renewable energy generation in the onshore and offshore sectors, Dörken will be presenting itself with a special focus on functional coatings.

Representatives along the entire value chain come together at the world's largest and most important business platform for the industry. 1,500 companies from 40 countries and 40,000 participants from 100 nations are expected this year. They can look forward to countless products and innovations from the renewable energy sector. In addition to turbines and rotor blades, the fields on offer include mechanical and electrical components, logistics, safety, financing and insurance, innovative materials and smart energy.

Functional coatings are also a must at such an event. It is not least thanks to them that the durable, reliable and economical use of wind turbines is possible. Dörken will be presenting its solutions at WindEnergy Hamburg.

Functional coatings for economical wind turbines

"We can hardly wait to welcome people who are interested in our products," says René Rother, Key Account Manager Industrial Coatings. "We look forward to answering any questions about our basecoats and topcoats. We will also be happy to answer any questions about the planned PFAS ban."

Components in the wind industry are exposed to high climatic stresses and mechanical loads. Dörken's zinc flake coatings offer cathodic corrosion protection for various components. Even bulky components, such as brake disks or roller bearings, can be effectively protected thanks to a room-temperature curing solution.
