Arburg is presenting numerous digital innovations for injection molding technology at K 2025 in Düsseldorf. The focus will be on the new control variant, the aXw Control MoldlifeAssist assistance system for mold monitoring and further developments in the arburgXworld customer portal - including the virtual twin and the AI-based "Ask Arburg" app. The aim of these developments is to simplify operating processes, network production processes and integrate digital services more closely into everyday injection molding.
Gestica lite: control system for standard machines
With Gestica lite, Arburg is presenting a new basic control system that is characterized by a simplified, intuitive user interface. It offers the same software basis as the Gestica, is fully data set compatible and is particularly suitable for standard machines. A new feature is a clear dashboard that bundles all central process and order data. Functions such as the status and help center, digital notes and an AI-supported search function support work on the machine. Assistance systems such as the "aXw EnergyAssist" or the "aXw Control RecyclatePilot" are optionally available.
Communication between machine and mold
The new aXw Control MoldlifeAssist links the machine and mold via the Euromap 82.5 interface and enables condition-based maintenance. The integrated condition monitoring monitors parameters such as temperature, acoustics and alignment of the mold over its entire life cycle. This allows maintenance intervals to be adapted to the actual condition and unplanned downtimes to be avoided. MoldlifeAssist will be presented at the trade fair in a digitally networked production cell.
Virtual twin and AI in the customer portal
In the arburgXworld customer portal, a virtual twin will complement the "Virtual Control" premium app in future. Users can use it to simulate processes on a PC, optimize parameters and analyse cycle times. The enhanced AI app "Ask Arburg" supports users with questions about machines, processes and applications. It accesses machine-specific master data and can also be used in the ALS host computer system or directly on the Gestica control system. Push notifications, new energy calculator tools and workflow modules expand the digital ecosystem.
