The "European Automotive & Plastic Coating" conference will take place in Stuttgart from September 10 to 11. The two DFO technical committees "Automation and Process Technology in Painting" and "Coating of Plastics" are jointly planning and organizing the conference. The program includes around 20 presentations on current topics in the automotive sector. Digitalization and the use of AI in various application areas of surface treatment - such as measuring methods, painting technology or pre-treatment - are at the top of the speakers' agendas. The topics will be examined from both a scientific and a practical perspective. The conference will take place at the Holiday Inn Stuttgart.
1st German Electrocoating Forum
From 24 to 25 September 2024, the DFO is organizing the "1st German Electrocoating Forum" in Karst. All aspects of electrocoating will be discussed. In the thirteen presentations, the speakers will take a close look at the sustainability of the processes, various aspects of pre-treatment, the problem of biofilm, simulation and automation. The event will be rounded off with a visit to either Henkel AG & Co KGaA or the Mercedes-Benz plant in Düsseldorf. The conference venue is the Mercure Hotel Düsseldorf Kaarst. Courses on metal
The DFO also offers various courses on metal as a material. In addition to the four-day course "Industrial painting technology for metallic materials in theory and practice", there is also the one-day course "Pretreatment of metallic surfaces for painting compact".
